    Laying 'shell-less" eggs

    Hi there....Ive been surfing for info about why my 2 hens ( 1 year old and already molted in spring), are laying eggs with no shells. I saw one shell today....all folded and crumpled near an egg splatter. I don't think they are eating shells...as I have seen a perfect yolk siting in nest...

    Using Broody hen to hatch....

    I have a very broody Silki sitting on a few eggs. I was just looking for any extra info on what to expect. I'll put marbles in waterer so chicks don't fall in, but will this be hard for her to drink from?? Should I put in a heat lamp...will she keep them warm until they start walking around...
