    I have one enormous Rhode Island who's the queen of the flock. She never lays. Another, A Welsomer who was a pullet which hadnt layed when I acquired her. It's been 4 months since then. Still no eggs. Should I give up hope on her?

    Easter Egger laying problems

    I've had a new Easter egger for about 2 months.At first she was laying fine, nearly every day. Over the last couple of weeks I've only gotten 2 eggs, both were exceedingly small without yolks.     I've recently (last 2 months) allowed my hens to roam freely about in my backyard. 2 of my 5 continue to lay in the nesting box in their coop. 3, however, have begun to lay in the yard. This is fine, but it seems as soon as I find a little clutch of eggs they will then start laying somewhere...

    welsomer not laying

    I bought a welsomer 8 weeks ago. I dont know how old it was but the owner told me it was due to start laying "anyday" Still no eggs. How long before I abandon all hope?

    Chicken in the shrub

    Recently acquired 3 new eater eggers. One chooses to sleep in a large shrub in my backyard. The others go with the flock into the coop at night. I'm ok with it. Is this prudent?
