Are Muscovy ducks likely to abandon a clutch of eggs?
I just noticed that Lucy, my female Muscovy, has laid a clutch of 6 eggs under some tall grass.
It's her first time laying, and I'm not sure how careful I should be around her pen.
Would now be a bad time to move woodchips into the other side...
The title of my thread pretty much says it all.
I'm wondering whether I can collect some of my Muscovy's eggs and expect her to soon begin to incubate the rest, or if taking eggs from a clutch she's still laying could cause her to abandon the nest.
I've never had Muscovy's before. Any good...
