    Hi, Can anyone tell me, how long to hens generally live, and, is there anyway of telling the age of a chook? I am interested to know if they lay for their whole lives or do they have a chicken menopause?

    PLEASE ADVISE - My chicken's comb is turning purple on the edges!!

    One of my hens has a floppy big comb that hangs over her face, lately I noticed that it was going purple on the edges, is she dying? Does anyone know what this is a symptom of?

    Purple Wattle

    My fave chicken has developed purple on her comb, not all over, mostly on the edges, she has a big floppy comb so I was concerned that it was sunburn as I live in Australia and it gets hot, so I feel very sorry for her!! Does anyone know what the cause of this is?
