    Disinfecting chicken yard

    I’m looking at converting my chicken yard to be used by exotic birds. I’m concerned about disease as it’s just a compost pile for a floor, filled with droppings. Is there a proper way to disinfect it so other bird species aren’t affected? Thanks! - Chris
