    We had a double yoke! Taste great!!

    In the first week of egg laying we got a double yolker. We were excited about it and it made a great breakfast. This is the first time ever having back yard chickens and were loving every day of it. It has been very rewarding collecting the eggs and being able to enjoy them.

    1 Hen laying and 5 not far behind. Not sure the best way to go about this.

    I got 1 hen that started laying on Sunday and 5 that range from 2-4 weeks at the most younger than the hen that is laying. There is roughly 20 pounds left out of a 50 pound bag of start and grow feed left. I plan on to start weening them on to the layer feed in a couple days. I this going to...

    Hello, new from NC

    I got into chickens about 2 months ago and I love it. I have 6 chickens now with room to grow. This site seems like it has a lot of info for raising a back yard flock. I am excited to start learning.
