    Looking Chickens in the Raleigh NC Area

    I'm searching for chickens to buy in my area (Raleigh, NC.). Guess I can't be too picky at this point in the year but would like to have Black Star, Barred Rock, Plymouth Rock, Sussex or RIR. Any sellers out there? Best places to look? Any help would be appreciated.

    Buying Older Chickens

    Here it is fall and my husband is finally finishing the chicken house we've talked about since early spring. I've been warned about getting chickens past the chick stage ....they won't be as friendly and eager to be picked up, etc... I doubt that I can find refugees from a children's museum...
