What age to mix chicks with older hens?
I have 14 five week old chicks I would like to intergrate with my 5 twenty week old pullets. How old should I let the smaller chicks get before I can do this? What are the early signs to distinguish roosters from hens.
I am new to chickens. I have 5 chickens that are 17 weeks old and 14 chicks that are 2 weeks old. My goal is to have 12 laying hens.
