Re-homed a rooster and now the hens won't leave their coop.

We had to re-home a rooster this week and ever since, our hens won't leave the coop! We used to get two eggs a day in the nest box, now we are getting one a day on the ground of the run. I haven't even seen them come out to eat! Will this pass?

Need some help with weird chicken egg laying behavior!

We have 5 hens, and have been getting exactly 2 eggs a day for about 10 days now, both in the same nesting box. Now all of a sudden, we are getting one egg a day, and it is being laid on the ground in the run! We are totally confused. We did have to rehome a rooster a couple of days ago...

What do I do with my run now that it is winter?

It is definitely winter here and the snow is coming on heavy! We have been worried about our chickens (this is our first winter with them and so we don't have any experience) being in the mud and snow. We have covered about 2/3rds of our run with a tarp to keep out the snow and keep the ground...
