I have been working on a project. I took an old boat trailer and made a mobile coop for some meat chickens we are pasture raising. Here is some pictures of it. I think it will be very functional.
I used parts from an old styrofoam incubator to make a new one out if a styrofoam cooler. My question is:. Is it ok for eggs to sit on the bottom of the cooler or do they need to be elevated while incubating?
This will be my first time butchering chickens. Do I need to let the birds rest whole before I cut them up or can cut them up and place them in the refrigerator?
i have not been having any luck incubating these eggs, two different sources and not much going on with either. other eggs doing good. are colored eggsharder to hatch or am i just having bad luck.
I have eggs in the incubator now with different hatch dates. I don't have a separate hatcher . Just curious if anyone else has had any success doing this?
I hatched some chicks last week and ended up with a black chick with really dark legs, the rooster is a golden comet, the hens were a brown egg layers mix golden comets, rir, Wyandotte, he did say he had one black and white hen with really dark skin and legs. I know it's not much info just...
First time I have used incubator, I have read on here people talking about eggs moving. I haven't noticed any of the eggs moving, I put them in on 4/1, just wondering if this is normal. Thanks
