This happens every fall. I have about 15 laying birds and they always have a huge drop in production right at about September first. I'm used to getting up to a dozen a day.
I haven't seen an egg in 3 days!
But they still want to eat, of course!
I can't bare to consider, ahem, purchasing...

I want to build an outdoor counter and sink for processing. This outdoor station would be outside all the time so has to be weather proof. I already have a stainless sink. I want to plumb it with a fitting for a garden hose and mount it into some sort of counter.

I know rooster is terrible to eat. I've done it. Stringy, Chewey, etc. but recently I had s bunch of turkeys in the freezer that I needed to move so I ground it up like you get in the store and it wasn't bad. Worked in spaghetti sauce and chili just fine.
