    Small battery powered fan for chicks?

    My chicks are outside in a upper level coop, it's suppose to get very hot this week and probably until August. Would putting a small fan in with them be ok? What would be the pros and cons?

    I have 2 week old chicks here is what they are staying in. The top part of this coop. The bottom will be locked and closed till they are out and on their own. All the openings have 1/2"x1/2" wire covering.

    Can you detox chickens?

    I am thinking about purchasing 3 month old chicks, try to get a jump start on a flock. My question is, can you detox them if they were fed a soy/corn feed? I want to feed them a soy free/gmo free diet. any suggestions?
