Blood on backside!
I thought I saw a bit of dried blood on one of my 2 day old's backsides. There was also a bit of scab or dried poo (total noob here - I don't know which it was) so I pulled it away and found blood underneath. Is this just a boo boo or is the blood coming out its rear and a sign of illness? I...- CaraBY

Brand new and got my first five chicks today!
Hi everyone! I'm a complete noob, but I'm now the owner of 5 Cochin (full size, not bantam) chicks. We bought seven eggs but felt too overwhelmed to hatch them ourselves, so we paid a nice lady with a lot more experience to incubate them.
