I ordered 1 Roo and one Pullet from Meyers. We lost one GLW after receiving delivery. I assumed it was the pullet dues to the "mask" pattern above her eyes. Anyhow, here we are at close to 8 weeks old, and I'm now second guessing gender. What do u think?
A friend recently gave me a turkey fryer ( works with peanut oil). I have tried looking for instructions on Pinterest but no luck :/ wondering if anyone could tell me how to fry a chicken in this and about how long? Thanks :)
I have started introducing my younger chicks 4-7 week old to my 11 week old chickens. They have been allowed to free range during the day for about a week now, but are still doing it in two seperate groups. Will the older chickens eventually allow the younger ones to be part of the group or will...
I'm new to raising. I'm on my second round of cornish rock and one in this batch has a lopsided crop. It's firm to the touch and just slightly bigger then the crops of the other 3. Is this something I should be concerned about?

I have my fresh cornish rocks curing in the fridge and looking for the best recipe ideas to introduce this home grown slice of heaven to my family! Any and all recipes welcome! Thanks in advance!

I'm not sure if I'm posting on the right thread, sorry... I have 3 cornish rocks that will soon be ready for processing and it's obviously my first time. I read a article on processing which says to cut the jugular vein and carotid artery, but doesn't indicate where in the neck to locate them...
I went in on a batch of Cornish Rocks with a friend who has started raising them in her coop with her other chickens. They are now 5 weeks and she has been feeding them 24/7. This am she lost 2. I will be bringing my three home today and finishing them in my coop which has a meat bird coop...
