I am selling my entire covey of jumbo quail, there are 29 total. I recently thinned them down and kept the biggest males and most of the females. They aren't currently laying as i let them have the winter off, but will be cranking out eggs soon. These are two that i processed in December...
This little guy is free to whoever wants him. He is a little shy, but absolutely stunning to look at when he is in the sun. I have way too many roos and this one is destined for the pot if nobody wants to save him. Pick up only... his name is Speckles and he would appreciate it!
I am selling Jumbo Coturnix Quail that range in age from 4-7 weeks. The older ones are $3 each and the younger are $2 each (still in the brooder). They aren't laying yet, but should be this winter with light, or next spring. I have a bunch of them and am now working and going to school full time...
After waiting for what seems like forever the quail are finally laying! I do believe it was more exciting than anything thats happened around here lately. I found one this morning and when I went to check on them at nightfall there was another egg!

so i went to the feed store today and they had a beautiful angora rabbit... of course im thinking about bringing it home because i have no self restraint sometimes im still saying no at this time but the visit did bring some good questions:
how can you judge a rabbit's age?
any helpful tips...

and spent $940.08 on six fillings! a work for the county govt and we have really crappy insurance. i wish i could get better insurance... that money was in my new house fund, my poor boyfriend almost had a heart attack! it seems like every time we take a step forward we take two steps back.
