    Silver Appleyard Ducks

    Are they relatively quiet? I'm just about to fill in my order for 20. I'm going to take the risk. I know if things don't pan out, I can easily find a home for them. Also They won't be locked up all the time and my property is fenced so they will have room to move and forage.

    I have about 2 acres. But I want to keep waterfowl in about .55 acres fenced in to protect from predators. Should I keep ducks and geese or just ducks? What do you think is an adequate space for keeping both and how many to keep? Should I just stick with ducks? Thanks for reading this.

    I'd like to build a simple sturdy wire and wood pen. Where do you guys usually buy hardwire mesh? I have coyotes near me, usually not in the backyard, but cannot hurt to be careful.
