I have a 4-5 month old Andalusian who hasn't started laying yet. She has been sitting on the other chickens eggs. Is it possible for a chicken to be broody before she is laying?
We are new to the raising chicken game and we were sold this easter egger hen. She should be about 12 weeks now. She hasn't grown in ear tufts and her comb is really large and really red. I am beginning to suspect this might not be an easter egger and worry it might be a rooster. Any ideas...
