    How old?

    How old are chicks when they get their wing and tail feathers in? The lady that helped me at our local farm store didn't know how old the chicks were when they got them from the hatchery. So I assumed they were probably a day or two old. Any ideas?

    rainbow layers

    Just wondering if I understand what rainbow layers are. I went to my local farm store where they had a tank of chicks marked as rainbow layers. Are they considered Easter eggers or does the hatchery put 3 or 4 breeds all together to give an assortment of egg colors?
