minor split on beak.
My hutch is attracting flies which the hens try to catch but end up pecking the wire cage. They've done this enough that one of them has a bit of beak damage. I'm keeping the hutch pretty clean, but with this heat there is no beating the flies. Any suggestions on a solution? Can I help her beak... -

eggshell weirdness.

my first egg!!! happy dance!!
We got our first Coturnix egg today. It was pimp the hutch day (New watered/ sand bath/ nesting box addition). I went to move them back to the hutch and found it laying in the spare cage! 7 and a half weeks old and happy little buggers!
