I got 10 rare breed pullets shipped 10/23 and these the are feathering sooooo slow. Everyone else already has feathered wings and little tails. They have clean legs and straight combs. Bottoms of the feat are orange. No muffs/beards. They are big and fluffy. I thought maybe Jersey giant but...
I have 2 bantam dark cornish, one black frizzle bantam cochin, one bantam EE, and three blue OEGB cockerels looking for homes ASAP.
ETA I also have a black mottled old english game bantam rooster that is ready to move on.
I have two white and one buff bantam cochin pullets that came from Ideal Poultry mid June. I also have a black frizzle male the same age if interested. Pics coming momentarily.
I have some 1-2 month old OEGB chicks that need new homes. All of the females have curled toes, which I tried to fix with mixed results. They don't require much special care but ideally should not reproduce. I have four of those and two cockerels. Will post pictures asap.
Looking at the pictures from Cackle Hatchery they look the same, so I'm not sure if my pullets are one or the other or an assortment of both. They were part of an assorted OEGB order so could be either. Any help with distinguishing between the two is appreciated.
My chicks shipped yesterday and then 15 minutes later updated with an exception/delay with delivery date unknown. Just wondering if this happened to anyone else. 😕
Is there a reason to use hay in the duck house instead of shavings? Is it just so they can pile it up better? I'm in the process of making a duck house for my Muscovy male, and eventually the four ducklings I picked up yesterday. I have plenty of shavings, just wondering if I really need to go...
I have a one month old duckling that an old coworker found at about a day old and I took in. It's been living with my chickens and guineas and free ranges with them but I'd really like to find out a home with some more ducks. I don't think it would be happy or fare well going back into the wild.
3 years ago I had to give up all my birds and move into the city - first to an apartment and then I bought a townhouse with a tiny back yard and avoided tractor supply during chick days at all costs since it made me sad.
I just closed on a new house on just under an acre last week and chicks...
I recently got this to turn into a tractor for my roosters and/or some freedom rangers. Stand by as I complete this project. Design ideas are welcome as I hope to make it both functional and good looking enough that I can even place it in the front of the property at times. The cage portion is...

I have a young pullet that is essentially wild. She and another pullet sleep in the tree by the run and during the day the entire flock free ranges from 7am until they go to roost a little after 8. Anyway, several weeks ago I noticed this girl's eyes were looking strange, as if the nictitating...
