If you're like me, which most of you who have chickens, any type of fowl... you take 100+ daily pictures of your birds!! I was trying to take a picture of Snow White, and Elsa when Belle ran in and wanted part of the action too!!!
Share your photo bombs too! Always makes for a good giggle!
Getting a new flock of chickens is one of the most exciting things ive experienced. I learn something new everyday!!
In this I have my own questions im setting out to find!
One of them being, what is the common usual numbers of roosters to be kept with what number of hens?
Its over cast today. When I was admiring my australorps feathers, I noticed that my barred rocks have "mermaid" feathers too!!
Is this normal, or does it mean they're mixed somewhere down the gene line?
This is cupcake. Im pretty sure its a boy. Its about 7 weeks or more, still "purring" and chirping. The kids insit on its name still remaining cupcake. My question though is abojt his black feathers on the top of its head. I thought at first it may be dirt, when i got a closer look theyre actual...
I have posted a ton of these, only because every time I go to TSC and get chickens, theyre usually not what they say they are. that being said... what could this girl be??
This is cupcake. We call her a girl, but we dont really know. Lol weve always done chickens. This is our first time with ducks. They chirp and make a weird purring sound when you walk up to pet them. The pekin is almost 6 weeks.
I want to install windows inside my chicken coop, however they would be on the opposite wall of my nesting boxes. I wasnt sure if it would become a problem or not?
Any opinions?
I got 6 chickens from tractor supply about 8 weeks ago. We were told they were supposed to be barred rocks. Im pretty sure we only ended up with 2. :/ Can anybody help pur with the breed of the other ones!!!?
