Rooster questions
I'm new to the chicken seen. I bought 6 chicks 3 buffs 3 RIR'S. They are now almost 4 months old free ranging hens. I would like to introduce a rooster. I had someone tell me if your raising them for eggs don't do it. Well I am raising for eggs. So do I get a rooster? If so what breed and age...- alan1

Mn. Chicken questions.
Well I will be starting to raise chickens here in June. I live in MN. Just going to have 3-4 hens. I was thinking RIRS. Now we get some pretty cold weather. Should I be heating my coop? I have read it's not necessary. I was going to buy some younger birds for the kids. Would they be laying by...- alan1
