    Molting chickens right now?

Hi all, I've read a lot on this, and I'm just confused right now as one of my larger chickens (lavender orp) who I just got to stop being broody for the (4th time in two years) is now molting, but she already molted once last year. Should/Could she be molting again? It seems odd that she would...

Hen with swollen bottom below vent

I've got an Ameraucauna (2 years old) who seems to have a swollen bottom below her vent. Her poop seems stuck to her in the feathers near her vent and back side. My big girls are about a year old (a couple weeks shy- 1 lavender orp, gold laced brahma, ameraucauna and a speckled Sussex)and my four new chicks...

Something isn't right with my Sofia

So my good laced Wyandotte is about a month younger than my big girls, but she's recently seemed to pull her neck to her chest and doesn't walk around with her head up of that makes any sense. The few days she's seeming to separate herself from the group of hens. Any ideas? She also is smaller...

    Hi there! Noob with questions

Hi all, been lurking for a while and finally decided to join up because I have questions that I've not seen answered or haven't yet found a thread yet. Anyhow, I'm new to chickens, and so far it's been going well. We picked up chicks on 7/23 that were a week old at the time. Two Orpingtons, two...
