    Gender?

    I'm not sure on the exact age. I'm thinking 4ish weeks. I'm pretty positive it's a roo. My daughter picked out the chicken and named it Mrs. I know Longhorns have big combs... pretty much just reaching at this point. Anyone had a chick like this that was a pullet? Its comb still seems fairly yellow.

    Swollen bubbly eyes

    This chick is about 9 weeks old. One eye started to get swollen and red. I originally thought it was a pecking injury. But then it started to spread to the other eye which is now significantly more red, swollen, and bubbly then the other. I have now separated her from the rest of the flock...

    RIR 4 week chicks, pullet or roo?

    I've got 2 RIR chicks I believe. They've both feathered a lot slower than my other chickens, but chicken one is significantly slower and still has no tail feathers. There feathering also just looks very different than each others. I'm curious what you'd say. Chicken 1 Chicken 2 Both together
