    First timer

    We have a broody hen that has 6 eggs that should be hatching next weekend. This will be our first time hatching and I was Worried....should we separate her and the babies from the rest of the flock? Would all of the others be mean to the babies? I have NO IDEA what to expect!

    5 week old with HUGE CROP

    My 5 week old Amber link has a huge crop. It’s squishy and feels like it’s full of air or liquid. She’s not growing or gaining weight like all of her friends but eats constantly. I can Massage her crop and she will Regurgitate some food but it is still like a huge bubble after.

    One of my babies has a HUGE squishy crop. It’s so big that it looks awkward. She acts fine and pecks around and eats like all the others. This picture was taken yesterday and it seems bigger today. We just lost one of our oldest hens yesterday. We can’t take all the heartache!

    Rooster with injured leg

    Help! My rooster has been limping for 2 days now. He came out of his coop limping yesterday. We put him inside for the night in a large tote so he wouldn’t be jumping up and down to roost. I gave Him 1/2 of a low dose aspirin and that seemed to help a little. I cant See any Injuries...
