What predator leaves just the chicken feet?

Today a juvenile silkie rooster was killed inside my (7ft wood) fenced off garden area. There was a big pile of feathers, and then a few smaller areas...

silkie chick with bump under eye

I am a longtime chicken raiser, but first time silkie mama! New breed for me. I acquired this chick from friend of friend and it looks like it has a huge bump under it's eye beneath the skin. Is this normal for this breed? Or is it a tumor? Should I take it to local vet? Thanks!
