    Is Cider Pulp ok?

    I made a spiced cider yesterday and was wondering if I can give the pulp to my girls? It hasthe pulp of 5lbs of apples, 4 mandarin oranges, cinnamon, ground clove and ground nutmeg. The apple seeds were removed before simmering (I know they can't have those) but I was curious about the oranges...

    My hens won't roost

    Every night I check my 6 BSL hens, and every night they are piled on top of each other in the nesting boxes. Why wont they sleep on the roosting bar? They couldn't possibly be cold, I live in NC. I'm worried it might cause a problem when they start laying.

    New Chicken Mama

    I'm new to raising chickens so I'll have tons of questions. I currently have 6 Black Sex Link hens (aka Black Stars) they are almost 20 weeks old and I think they may start laying soon.
