Just curious— when do silkie cockerels get their adult plumage? My partridge guy is ~5months old and still has a lot of fluffy black/grey baby feathers. Partridge Silkies- Sex?
I have two 10ish week old silkies. I think one might be a little younger because it still has its baby plumage and is covered in pin feathers. The younger one has "streamers", but I can't tell if they're just the first few adult feathers on its tuft or if they're actually early streamers. They...- Birblady
