We had a clutch finish hatching on 2-6. All were active and healthy yesterday, today one died. No injury or pasty butt . I feel terrible. They are with the hen and the remaining 8 are doing fantastic( eating, drinking ,active). What went wrong? I'm afraid the hen may not be keeping them warm...
I was sure that this blue was a pullet, it has developed slower, no steamers, it walks like a pullet, and akmist no comb ,but I'm beginning to worry.
Opinion?
Is (he) a silver partidge?

I'm in search of a pair or trio of BQ or SQ silkies in one of the following varieties: splash, black or (possibly) blue. I'm in sc, frequent NE TN, but I'm also willing to pay shipping fees for the right birds. Please, dm as I may miss if posted in a thread.

That being said, I'm curious to see others' coops for ideas. We're beginning construction this week.
Hi, I'm Jessica.
I've had Silkie chickens since May . I'm in search of quality silkies to build my flock.
I have 4 horses along with my chickens and sold my cows ( I'll be buying more and rebuilding my herd within the next year or two) just long enough to move.
