Help, Should I remove day old chick from mother
In short, 2 brooding chickens (Olivia and Victoria) due 2 weeks apart. Olivia's eggs began hatching today and 1 baby born. Then Olivia abandoned nest and baby, stole Victoria's eggs and began sitting on them. We gave Olivia's eggs to Victoria, but she kept pecking at baby, so we gave baby...- Robyn67

Hens combs going pale
Our 4 hens combs are turning pale. A month ago we got a rooster for our 4 hens. Our girls are still laying everyday and no signs of odd behaviour or illness except that there combs are turning pale pink. The rooster still has a bright red comb. As a precaution, we have dusted them a few days...- Robyn67

Advice re Muscovy duck hatching eggs
i have a young first time mummy duck who sat on 17 eggs. Just before hatching she threw 3 out of nest (obviously not fertile). Monday morning (right on day 35) she accidentally drowned her first baby, we think she was trying to help it out of shell and she put it (still in shell) in a her water...
