My daughter's chicken(the white one) has been acting sick the last few days. She seems to be doing a little better today (walking around and eating) but she is still not her normal self and she still has her wings drooping. No blood in poop. She is not egg bound. I'm not sure what is wrong. I...
I am building a new run that's attached to my old shed and turning it into a coop. That being said I hear all different kinds of things being used to keep chickens in and predators out. My major threats are stray dogs, opossum, raccoon, and maybe fox. Before I knew what I was doing we had 3...
First time incubating, and shipped eggs to boot. 7 eggs, this is day 6. I noticed air pockets and 3 eggs with dark spots. No obvious veins but I'm no expert. Did not see any blood veins. Anyone see anything or can tell me any additional info from pics? These are sebright bantam eggs. TIA...
I attached pics of my incubator, how am I suppose put in and keep the eggs upright in my auto turning incubator? Looks as if you have to lay them on their sides.

This the incubator I have
So....intructions are vague to say the least. It's assembled, had 100ml of water and pluggd it in and went straight to 38 degrees Celsius. How do I check humidity and stuff? Do I just let it stay at 38 degrees? Surely there is more to it than throwing eggs in there and adding water every other...
This is my first time buying day old chicks online from mypetchicken.com so I'm not sure what to expect. They are shipping USPS. When they arrive anything I should do immediately? I read somewhere to give them sugar water? There are 4 of them coming, after December 1st the minimum required to...
Hey guys and gals, new chicks will be here on Wednesday after a loose dog tore through my fence and killed my wife and children's 3 chickens. We didn't have the most ideal setup last time for chicks, although it worked, this go around I'm trying to upgrade a bit. This is what I have come up with...
He'll everyone, new here. Let me start off by giving you all my background. I am a husband and father of 2 children. Last spring my wife and children decided they wanted to raise a few chickens. We got 3 chicks from our local TSC and they instantly fell in love with them and have played with...
