So I could use some advice here..... have Sebright bantam hen who seems to be broody.. she sits on other hens eggs for hours at a time but won't lay her own, and is actually plucking her own breast feathers... now the problem is I don't have a rooster so she has no chicks to hatch in those eggs...

So my young hen has a pecking wound right side by her tail, it is circular maybe almost a quarter in size. it is covered by a hard blackish scab and around it some of the skin seems slightly yellow or blackish. All of my partridge rock hens also all have bare featherless back from other hens...
My coop is like chicken tazmahal! It has 12 nesting boxes, lots of perch bars and roostes, tons of floor space, and is made so they actually sleep in the rafters of it! I will post pics some day B) The run is very large, stumps and logs to perch on all over, with a sheltered feeder and waterer...
