    Why would my male golden pheasant be crouching in the back of the cage vs sitting on his perch tonight?

    I am probably worried over nothing, but I have never seen him not go up to his perch in the evening ... then I scoop him up and lock him inside the building in the pen.

    I've had chickens and peafowl for years, but a few weeks ago I was given my first pair of red golden pheasants and I am in love. Such sweet birds.

    Help!

    The storm took out my coop. My peafowl are loose. The two new birds went straight up into the tree above coop, but my hand raised other 3 took off. They were answering me until dark, but didn't come home. I usually can herd the 3 of them back into the coop for the night.
