Hello! Before I say anything else, I'm aware it may be WAY too early, especially to check for a polish chick.
Luckily enough I got room for a rooster, so I don't mind whichever it turns out to be.
However, my curiosity is never-ending and I wanna see if any of you have any guesses?
Pretty active...
Hello! I have had this little lady sold to me as a pullet, and I'm hoping this is a quick thread just to crush any doubt that she might not be a she.
I know it's a little early for sureness, and I've seen a lot about speckled sussex pullets getting larger combs than other breeds earlier?
Some...
Hello fellow feathered friend lovers! I'm here to introduce myself in a hobby I've had longer than chicken keeping. I've played piano for many years, and learned quite a bit of music theory. I picked up several other instruments for whatever my music teachers needed and stumbled across bass...
I got Parsley about 6 weeks ago, so it's at least 6 weeks. I got Parsley at a locally run & owned store that got "Ameraucana" chicks from a local seller, but I'm unaware if it's true or just an Egger.
I thought Parsley would be all white as a chick... but this coloring is so pretty!

I believe this one's 2-3 weeks old. I heard tricks with the head dot, feet darkness, and wing feather banding... but I'm still clueless! I also don't know if there's a difference between standard and bantams with gender identification. Hoping for a pullet.
Sorry for bad image quality! :(...

Backstory, I heard some more general things with...
I got a pair of what I believe to be hens almost a year ago, they're about 10-11 months.
One hen is here, I'm positive she's a hen
This one I'm not so sure, they've looked the same, but this one has some different features? Long tail with some greenish feathers, bigger comb, ect. It is also...
Long story short, a neighbor's dog brought my mother two random chicken eggs! We assumed they were from our distant neighbors, since they have a bit of chickens and some escape. Out of curiousity I candled them.. and what I see inside are moving living chicks!
I had no idea on what to do, so I...
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I am very new with chickens! I've always thought they were amazing though, got my first chicken about over a month ago.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
Sadly only one, but will get more in the near future!
(3) What...
