I got some day-old chicks 3 months ago and have raised them up. A few of them didn't look anything like their "brothers and sisters" so I was just wondering if anyone out there could pinpoint the breed and sex of this chicken? Any help is appreciated!
I have bought some straight run chicks for the first time and was trying to sex them as soon as possible as roosters are illegal in our area. The chicks are Black Copper Marans and I have noticed some have larger combs than others, and the smaller combed birds tend to have longer tail feathers...
Any quail experts out there want to take a stab at sexing my 15 4-week old quail? I'm fairly certain about some (like 6 and 13) but I'm not so sure about some of them. I'd like to be able to separate them before they get too old and start getting into trouble. Thanks!

This chicken stopped in to say hello to my flock today for about 10 hours before jumping the fence and heading on its merry way. Any clue on the breed and sex of this chicken?
