    Buff Orpington/ Plymouth rock cross?

    will 4 hens have a problem with 1 rooster?

    Hi! As you can tell by my question, i will be a first time chicken owner soon. I was wondering if 4 hens and 1 rooster would be a bad ratio. I am ordering chicks soon and needed to know how many hens i should get. The chickens will be back yard, pet chickens. thanks!!
