    Remembering our girl Dee Dee

We lost our girl yesterday. Today we honoured her in a way we thought she would love. Dee Dee’s favourite treats were blueberries so today, with the help of her flock, my husband, son and I planted and blueberry garden. We marked each bush with a hand painted marker in her honour. She was loved...

Recently lost a bird, what to do next?

So my sweetheart of a bird suddenly stopped using on leg. This was two days ago. I separated her and allowed her rest as well as made a vet appointment for today. Unfortunately she passed through the night. I have no idea what claimed her but I am guessing the leg issue was a symptom and not the...

I just can’t tell. I change my mind everyday. And I know I need to trim the eye feathers but I am having a hard time getting a hold of this bird. The only one I can’t touch in my flock of 4 ☹️

    Silkie pullet or roo??

My little one is a bit older so I thought I would post again and see what opinions were offered. (S)he got mixed reviews last time. Which was a couple weeks ago now. What does everyone think??

Anyone have a guess on my Silkie’s and my Buff Brahma’s gender??

Not sure on exact age. I have only had them for two weeks. The silkie, She/he hides behind the other girls in the flock. She/he is definitely not a leader or assertive at all. The Buff Brahma is the leader for sure. She makes sure everyone is ok and settles all disputes quickly. Everything...
