Just noticed my hen with this lump. It’s pretty hard. Couldn’t of been there for more than a few days at most. Also looks like some discharge by her ear. Any ideas?
Lost my little duck. All that was left were her wings (ripped clean off) and a foot.
There was no blood
and the only tracks (other than ducks and chickens) were these weird ones;
3 supposed to be pullets, that I'm not sure about. All about 2 months.
1st one. Silver Laced Wyandotte. She has a lot of white, and i heard lots of white means roo.
And a question? When do they start looking "lacey"
(one on the right)
2nd One. Barred Rock.
Big and reddish comb.
3rd one...
I went into the run today, and was mssing one of my little barred rocks (my favorite) and couldn't find her. I called her name and looked all over the coop and run for her. Then i saw her in the garden which is right next to the coop. There was no blood or open wounds. But she was stiff and...

The chicks look similar to their father? So will they look like him?
Or since he's a EE mutt they can be anything?
And also is there a chance they'll lay olive eggs?!
I can add more pictures of babies too, if needed.
And all it made was another little hole?
Is this normal. I'm pretty sure the little guy/girl is still alive because I hear chirping
Should I help it or does this normal?
I'm pretty new to chickens. But I LOVE them and have always been interested in animal genetics, coloring etc.
And so it kills me not to know the coloring name of my little Easter Egger hen Hedwig (She fits the name perfectly )
Also, i have an egg from her in my incubator and its actually...
Last spring we had an overpopulation of roosters (Turns out our 25 strait runs, were majority roosters). We got rid of them as fast as possible but they still were able to breed the crap out of the little hens, leaving them bald. Well almost a year later, there are still a couple of one's with...
I know different breeds of chickens will produce offspring, i.e EE x RIR
but can say a Pekin breed with a Rouen or Buff and produce viable offspring?
Thanks
Last year when we got out RIR from Mcmurray we got the free rare chick
And Phoenix is all grown up and I'm still not quiet sure what he is?
I was guessing a Old English Game but I don't know?
Also another question, I've got some RIR X Phoenix eggs in the incubator, any idea how they'll come...
