In the previous batch I gave 38 eggs and that was a disaster.Only 12 hatched with 2 of them with disabled legs, they died later. And rest of ithero died after day 16.
I was shocked because when I took out those dead eggs and broke them them to see what's went wrong, I saw that in those dead eggs...
I finally ordered a thermostat and I need some help with it to fix it.
I use a 25 watt Philips Clear Bulb as heat source in my Incubator.
If anybody know how to that please help me.
I started with 38 eggs, then I candelled at day 9 only 8 of them were completely empty and rest of them were alive and kicking.
So I was hopeful of getting 30 chicks this time but I candelled at day 14 just now and I found that 8 other eggs which were alive before is now dead. All I I can see is...
So I need some good laying Chicken's as chicken eggs are always on demand here especially brown eggs.
But the local breed that I have now is not good at laying eggs.
I bought some layer chicks from the local Govt. farm but they killed each other within 1 year.
Now am looking for some good laying...
I fed those eggs to my vhichick
Should I keep doing that or not?
My second batch was a disaster because 8 out of 38 eggs was empty and 4 others dided around day 11, all I can see is very very dark spots floating inside
After the successful trial of my homemade Incubator now am trying my luck with 38 Eggs. But looks like I did a mistake by wrapping the incubator with aluminum foil from inside, as a result of that temperature is getting high even if I lower the voltage and it also loses heat very quickly
This is the first time incubating and thankfully it was successful.Within few days I started the incubation a lot of problems came in my way.
Humidity and Temperature fluctuation, Power cuts and so many other things but thank God at the end it was successful and am feeling so great to see them...
