One of my roosters has sustained an injury on his toe. It was cut open and his foot is swollen with what looks to be an infection. We have been treating with daily epsome salt baths and antibiotic ointment which has seemed to help but I think an oral antibiotic would benefit him at this point...
Unfortunately I have no previous experience with lavender ameraucanas and this was the only chick that hatched from the few eggs I received. Guesses? Thanks in advance!
Not the greatest with genetics but I am trying to learn
What would my chickens look like and what color eggs would be produced if I crossed them. The OE hen lays light cream/whitish eggs. Thanks in advance!
One of my hens is not acting right. She has lost some of the red in her comb and face and it looks like she is breathing heavy at times and looks puffed up. Shes not making a ton of strange noises but she is kept close to 30 other chickens and everyone else seems ok. Any thoughts would be...
This babe came out of the TSC assorted bantam bin. Dying to figure out the breed. It's gray/yellow. Someone mentioned porcelain d'uccle but it doesnt have fluffy feet. Thoughts? Thanks in advance
Anyone ever cross these two? And if so what were your results. Just curious to see the color variations in feathers and egg since they're both blue layers.
I purchased cream legbars 4 weeks ago and this baby chick does not resemble the rest. The breeder also bread bielefelder chicks and I'm thinking since they are both auto sexing breeds they got mixed. Also, can someone tell me if this is a roo or pullet? Supposed to be a pullet at that .
Looking for suggestions on bulk feed for my laying hens. Willing to mix if needed. I have seen some use oats and cracked cork mixtures and some are using pellets. Any advice is appreciated and if you know your cost per lb that would be great too.
If I crossed two olive eggers born from a welsummer roo and creamlegbar hens what would the egg color outcome be? I am very new to generation and sex link breeding so any info would be helpful!
