I currently have 8 ducks that live with my chickens. I've had kiddie pools for them and while that works well enough, I would like to build an in-ground pond for them. I have 10 acres so space is not an issue. Any tricks or design tips to help keep the pond as chicken safe as possible?

I bought this little girl at TSC as a chick. She was a pale yellow chick in with the "mixed pullets". In the pics with other chickens she is the white one in the back. Currently 7ish weeks old. Any ideas?
