    Yesterday, I noticed a hen acting a little strangely and not moving around as she should. I thought she was just hot and chilling in the shade. I got busy and forgot. I remembered later and looked out the window to notice she wasn't there anymore. Good deal. Nope. We found her dead in the barn...

    Help! I found a bunch of eggs a broody hen has kept.

    We just found a stash of eggs! I dont know how old they are. They are all warm... I'm scared to take them away as they may be growing into babies... How do I check if they are growing, without damaging them? Any advice is highly appreciated.

    What are your favorite coop features?

    After building our coop, we decided to build a run. We are planning on homemade waterer and feeders. Our friends have a sand box for their chickens. I was just wondering what are your must haves? What could you live without? Or what would you have done better or differently?
