    Splash chicks from French Black Copper Marans???

    So I have a pair of Black French Copper Marans, I have recently hatched out 3 sets of their eggs and so far have nearly averaged 2 Splash chicks from each hatch. I was under the impression however that you could not get Splash chicks from Black parents. Is that true?? I'm kind of new to breeding...
