    This is a little embarrassing to post, but I’m a newbie so here goes. I got a big bag of sunflower seeds to feed my flock and it’s full of mealworms. Do I take it back and complain? Or, just figure it’s extra protein and no big deal?

    Welded wire shortage!

    I should have known when the New York Times is writing articles saying there is a run on baby chicks the fencing was going to be gone come time to finish my duck paddock. I can’t seem to get any until mid June, at least not the smaller weave. I’m not sure what to do exactly. I can let them out...

    Call ducks free range? Pens?

    I have call ducks and other ducks. My regular ducks just free range and they have such a happy little life. These call ducklings are 4 weeks old now and I am amazed by how small they are! I am also worried about predators like hawks and even the barn cats roaming around and getting at my calls...
