    Types of Quail in Massachusetts

    What types of quail have people had success raising in Massachusetts or areas with a similar climate? I'm raising coturnix right now but I want to know what else could work for next spring. This has to be completely outdoors year round, not including brooding/hatching of course. Thanks for any help!

    Quail are hatching!

    My quail chicks are currently hatching. I know that I should leave them there until they are dry. I am a little worried about splayed leg, but I am not sure. Right now the two that have hatched so far are tryin to get up but they can’t because the floor is too slippery. Should I be worried?

    Brooding Quail Outside?

    I am going to be starting with quail soon, and I am wondering if anyone has had success brooding them outside? I would be taking care of the chicks, so they would not be in the care of the mother. If anyone has, how did you do it? Unless it is absolutely necessary, I am hoping to not have to...

    Getting quail this week! Any tips?

    I am going to be getting seven 4-6 week old Jumbo Brown Coturnix Quail on Wednesday or Thursday. Does anyone have any tips? I have done a TON of research, but it is always good to hear other opinions. :) Thanks in advance!

    Help???

    I am really hoping to start raising quail; however, my parents are saying that in order to get the quail (which I would be paying for completely), I must re-home my rabbit. Does anyone have any ideas on how to convince them? Please help!
