I have a silkie cockeral and a bantam hen and I was wondering if it’s ok to breed them in my backyard. We already are prepared for chicks and have heat lamps and incubators as we’ve had them before.
Just wondering if it’s ok,

My chickens have been sat down like this I’ve noticed during the day . They got lots of free roam in the garden and then stay in their new run for the rest of the time . Just curious thats all . :)) is this normal behaviour?
I have a hen who only lays shell-less eggs and I’ve tried everything ! (
Any ideas?
recently I’ve noticed her vent area is beetroot red and lacking feathers .
one of our other hens started pecking at her Vent and chasing her when she realised she was about to lay and then gobbles up the egg ...
She is still staying away from others but is moving around abit more but very slowly . Her crop feels empty so she hasn’t eaten yet . Still unsure of what’s wrong with her. I don’t know if she’s broody or not , can anyone tell me what she would act like if she was broody ?
She has a swollen abdomen and floppy comb she barely walks around and if she does she stand still with her eyes closed for a while then goes again, she’s a loham brown and has payed before
She is about a year and a bit old
My chicken, Jackie, is not doing well . Her abdomen is swollen , her comb is floppy , her appetite for normal food is gone. I fed her molasse water about a week and a half ago the again a few days later and again today but no improvement , I think she has constipation but am very unsure ...
