Could this be over matting? Or something else?

It seems all my whyandottes have a band of missing feathers along their heads. This one is the worst looking. Could this be overmatting or someting else. They are in an enclosed coop. Lots of room. And enclosed hardwire run fresh water and food daily. Acv and vitamins once a month. Treats once a...

Is this normal? So to give you a backstory on mrs. Popeye here (hen on the outside), one day she showed up in our yard and never left lol I reached out. No one claimed her. Grower/finisher feed for egg laters?

So I’m going to switch my girls feed when they are 18 wks to later feed but I’m reading everywhere to put them on grower/finisher feed from 16-18 wks old then to layer feed at 18. What are your thoughts on this? #newchickenmom

My RIR’s are 5 weeks and today I noticed my most aggressive rir has a much larger comb and wattle appearance then the others. I did get them from tsc. I’m not totally opposed to having one I just thought we bought all egg layers so this may be a game changer. Any opinion on the sex of this...

    Is this an umbilical cord

Don’t mind her wet bottom. She had pasty butt and I cleaned her all up and while doing so I noticed this black hard piece strongly attached. Didn’t come off after soaking her tush in warm water like the poop did. I just hope it’s normal and ok. Thoughts and advice are appreciated.

    Is this normal?

Two of my buff orpingtons develped some feathers on their wings and I noticed black spots on them. Nowhere else. None on their newly developed tail feathers or anywhere else on their bodies just wings. I panicked and of course google gives me mites as an answer but after some deep searching I...
