My chicken has suddenly began turning her neck backwards and falling, as shown in the video.
A week ago, I found her on her back and thought she was dying, and she has taken a long time to recover. I'm thinking this movement could have caused it.
What is happening? Why did it happen one night...
My 3 year old california white hen laid this in a soft shell this morning- What's inside??? Looks like a white rock, and a blood clump with tissue in it.
My main concern is her safety, her reproductive system has always been a little funky which I know can turn dangerous real quick.
My 2.5 year old california white hen has had trouble walking the past week or so and has a limp in her left leg. This has happened to her before and eventually went away, but it seems like it's worse this time.
She just sits most of the day, only walking around if I give worms. And as I gave...
My hen had a prolapsed vent today, but I was easily able to push it back in. My brother noticed this on the floor, what is it?? It's small, fleshy, and squishy. I'm not sure if it's a lash egg because of how red it looks. It kinda looks like a fetus but I don't have any roosters.
I have two hens, one of them always has calcium deposits on her eggs, and the other one usually has normal eggs. Yesterday, the normal layer layed an egg with no shell! And she's been laying less frequently in general.
Is the first one somehow taking all the calcium? How can I fix this?

The feathers used to all the way up to the comb but recently they've been receeding back! It started around last month when she had a fungal infection on her comb. I treated it but the feathers seem like they're still being lost!
My hen's tail has weird feathers that look like they're half gone. I heard it could be parasites, but I put diatomaceous earth in their feed so wouldn't they not have any?
I have two hens, one has been sneezing for the past few weeks but I heard that can be normal, and since there were no other symptoms, I thought it was probably nothing.
Today she's been sneezing a lot more, and now has a slight runny nose. What is this? How can I treat it?
One of my chickens has a broken tail from a dog attack, she's 13 months so I'm just wondering, what would happen if her tail can't molt when the time comes? She can't move her tail at all so I'm guessing she won't be able to lose and/or grow feathers.
This is Chun and Mrs. Snuggles, my best friends who happen to be chickens! They have their own little YouTube channel where I post quick moments of their lives since they were babies!
I'd love to be more active in the chicken community and learn more about them so here I am!
My 1 year old California White has been trying to lay the past couple days, but gives up. She'll be in the nesting box for 30 minutes and leave.
She's done this a few times before, but it's never happened 2 days in a row. I don't think she's egg bound as she's still acting normally; pooping...
