    Ducks in the winter

    Hello! I’ve only had my ducks since April and winter seems to creep up fast. I’m curious as to what people do with their ducks in the winter to make sure they’re warm and safe. They have a small coop but other than that they’re outside all day. Any winter advice for ducks would be great!

    Size of red stuff on rooster face

    This is our newer roo and he’s beautiful! But is the red around his face too big? Idk if I’ve ever seen one so big. Our older roosters red around the face is about the quarter of that size.

    Is this normal?

    I’ve noticed this for awhile with one of our pekins but haven’t been able to catch it on camera. I didn’t know if anyone else’s ducks did this or if this is a sign of something going on that needs to be checked out. She seems ok otherwise but always does this head bobbing thing.

    Chicken with no tail feathers?

    I’ll show pics of when it was a born to now at 5 weeks old. We know it’s part cochin but what chicken doesn’t have tail feathers? It looks so funny compared to the other chicks! We hatched it from our own chickens eggs and non of our chickens has tails like this one! 🤷🏼‍♀🧐

    Duck with feathers missing on back of neck

    I have 4 female ducks and 2 drakes. They’ll be 3 months old on the 27th. I noticed tonight one of my Pekin females had feathers missing on her neck. Would one of the drakes have done it?     Chickens eye missing..

    Has anyone else had a chicken get it’s eye pecked out by another chicken? I just noticed this chickens eye was missing. She’s been acting broody lately so idk if she’s been fighting with other chickens! Just curious if anyone else has dealt with this before.

    Coop big enough to ground 6 ducks in?

    This is our duck coop and I’m wanting to ground them for a couple of days to get them used to it. Does it look big enough for 6 ducks to be cooped up in it for 2 days? I feel bad not letting them out but I really want them to get used to their coop and going in at night! Help!
