I have a broody polish hen, she’s a year old and I’ve heard it’s rare they go broody. I have her some chicks after she sat for a few weeks. It’s a sight to behold, but she seems to be doing a good job.
Hi all, I have this white crested black polish chick, it is about 6 weeks old, and I am not sure of its’ sex. Any help is appreciated.

Hello, we recently (during lockdown) built a coop and bought 5 chicks. 2 Rhode Island reds and 3 white crested black polish. I’m hoping they’re all hens, as like most jurisdictions, roosters are not allowed. I’m glad I found the site and look forward to being part of the community.
